22136: Not Portable - Already in one of your Twilio Accounts
PHONE NUMBERS
ERROR
Twilio returns this error when you check portability or try to port a phone number that already exists in one of your Twilio accounts, or that number is already being ported into one of your Twilio accounts. Twilio returns this reason code when the number cannot be ported again to the target account.
- The phone number already belongs to your Twilio account or to one of your subaccounts.
- The phone number is already part of an active port request into one of your Twilio accounts.
- You checked portability against the wrong destination account. If you do not provide
TargetAccountSid, Twilio assumes the authenticated account is the target account.
- Check your existing phone number inventory and your subaccounts to confirm whether the number is already in your account hierarchy.
- If you are checking portability for a different destination account, resend the request with
TargetAccountSidso Twilio evaluates the correct target account. - If the number is already in your main account or one of its subaccounts, move it by updating the
IncomingPhoneNumberresource and settingAccountSidto the destination account. - If you need to move the number to a different Twilio account that is not part of the same account and subaccount hierarchy, submit a Support request to transfer the number.
