Twilio rejected your Toll-Free Verification request because the submission indicates a firearms-related business or messaging use case. Firearms and accessories are not allowed on Toll-Free, Short Code, or Long Code messaging regardless of age gating. This rejection is ineligible for the standard resubmission flow. If your toll-free number remains unverified, messaging to the United States and Canada is blocked and Twilio returns error 30032. (help.twilio.com(link takes you to an external page))

  • Your useCaseSummary, productionMessageSample, businessWebsite, or other verification details indicate the sale, promotion, facilitation, or support of firearms or firearm accessories.
  • Your end-user business was identified as belonging to a forbidden firearms category. Twilio evaluates both the message use case and the business type during Toll-Free Verification. (help.twilio.com(link takes you to an external page))
  • Your submission was interpreted as firearms-related when it actually describes a different use case. For example, gun advocacy messaging is not treated as a firearms use case. (help.twilio.com(link takes you to an external page))
  • Do not use Toll-Free SMS for firearms or firearm accessory traffic. This category is not eligible for Toll-Free messaging approval. If you need to contact recipients for a use case that cannot be sent over Toll-Free SMS, use a different approved Twilio product or a different permitted messaging use case.   • If the rejection was caused by inaccurate or incomplete submission details, delete the rejected verification record in Console or with the API only after you confirm what needs to change. Then submit a new verification request with corrected business details, use case information, opt-in proof, and message samples. (help.twilio.com(link takes you to an external page))
  • If you disagree with the rejection, contact Twilio Support to request an appeal. Include the original ticket number if available, the details of your appeal, and the subject line "Toll-Free Verification Rejection Appeal for (your business name or number)."   • If your business is not firearms-related, make sure your submission clearly explains the actual use case and that your website, opt-in flow, and sample messages consistently support that explanation.
