30915: Campaign rejected: Sole proprietor must use individual's name, not business name

ERROR: 30915

MESSAGING, PHONE NUMBERS
ERROR

This error occurs when you submit an A2P 10DLC campaign under a Sole Proprietor Brand, but the registration uses a corporate or formal business entity name instead of the sole proprietor's identity. Sole proprietor registration is only for businesses in the United States or Canada that do not have an EIN or Canadian Business Number. For sole proprietorships, first_name, last_name, and email must belong to the proprietor.

Possible causes

  • The brand_name includes a corporate or registered entity name such as an LLC, Inc., or Corp. instead of the sole proprietor's individual identity.
  • The business has an EIN or Canadian Business Number and should be registered as a Standard or Low-Volume Standard Brand instead of a Sole Proprietor Brand.
  • The registration mixes sole proprietor details with business entity details, which creates a mismatch between brand_name, first_name, last_name, and the business type selected during onboarding.
  • If your business is an LLC, corporation, partnership, or any other entity with a tax ID, register it as a Standard or Low-Volume Standard Brand instead of using the sole proprietor flow.
  • If you are a true sole proprietor, resubmit the registration with the proprietor's first and last name and make sure first_name, last_name, and email reflect that same individual.
  • Review the business information in your Trust Hub profile and A2P 10DLC registration before resubmitting. Use accurate, consistent details that match the brand you are sending messages for.
