30918: Campaign rejected: DBA name does not match the legal business name on file
MESSAGING, PHONE NUMBERS
ERROR
Twilio returns this error when an A2P 10DLC campaign is rejected because the DBA name in the campaign does not match the legal business name on the associated brand registration. For US entities, the legal business name must exactly match the name registered with the EIN on the CP 575 notice or 147c letter.
- The campaign uses a DBA, trade name, subsidiary name, or product brand instead of the exact legal business name on the brand registration.
- The business name in the campaign or brand contains spelling, spacing, punctuation, or abbreviation differences from the legal name on the CP 575 notice or 147c letter.
- The website, campaign description, or sample messages identify a business name that does not match the registered brand information. Twilio requires campaign data to be accurate and consistent. (help.twilio.com)
- The brand was recently registered with a new EIN or tax ID and the validation data has not fully propagated yet.
- Update the brand or campaign so the business name matches the exact legal business name on the CP 575 notice or 147c letter. Do not use the legal business name from a W2 or W9 for US entity registration.
- If you operate under a different customer-facing name, update your brand registration to include the DBA before you resubmit the campaign.
- Review the website, campaign description, and sample messages so they consistently identify the same business. Include your business name in at least one sample message. (help.twilio.com)
- If you recently received a new EIN or equivalent tax ID, wait for the registration data to propagate before resubmitting. If you need urgent review, provide the CP 575 notice or 147c letter when requesting manual assistance.
- Resubmit the campaign after you correct the mismatch.
