60437: Recipient type unsupported

This error indicates that the recipient you submitted is not a recipient type that Verify can use for the requested verification. Verify supports verifications to a phone number or an email address. For phone-based verifications, send the destination in E.164 format. For email verifications, use channel=email and configure email for your Verify Service.

• The to value is not a supported Verify recipient type, such as a phone number or an email address.
• You used a phone-based channel with a recipient that is not a valid phone number. Verify uses phone numbers for channels such as sms, whatsapp, call, and sna.
• You used channel=email with a recipient that is not an email address.
• You attempted to send an email verification before completing the required email configuration for your Verify Service.

• Send a supported recipient in to. Use a phone number for phone-based channels and an email address for channel=email.
• Format phone numbers in E.164 before creating the verification.
• Make sure the channel you selected matches the recipient type you are sending. For example, use channel=email only with an email address.
• If you need to verify email addresses, set up email for your Verify Service first. Create the email integration, authenticate your sending domain or use single sender verification for testing, and then retry the request.
