60500: SNA Phone Number Mismatch

ERROR: 60500

error-60500 page anchor
VERIFY
ERROR

This error means Verify completed the Silent Network Auth flow with the carrier, but the phone number detected for the device's active SIM did not match the phone number you sent in the Verification request. Silent Network Auth verifies phone number possession by confirming with the carrier that the SIM on the device invoking sna.url corresponds to the number being verified.

Possible causes

possible-causes page anchor
  • The phone number you sent in the Verification request does not belong to the SIM in the device that invoked sna.url.
  • The device uses dual SIM, and the active mobile data session is using a different SIM than the number you are trying to verify.
  • The end user is trying to verify a phone number that does not belong to the SIM in the device.
  • Confirm that the phone number you send in to is the same mobile number assigned to the SIM in the device that will invoke sna.url. Start a new Verification after the user confirms the correct number.
  • If the device may be dual SIM, start the verification with channel=auto and include device_ip so Verify can assess connectivity and whether the device might be using dual SIM before attempting SNA.
  • Fall back to SMS or another Verify channel for this user. For SNA errors, you can generally fail over to another Verification channel, and channel=auto can use SMS as a backup when SNA is not suitable.
