60625: Phone Number is Cancelled

This error occurs when a Lookup SIM Swap request reaches the carrier and the carrier reports that the phone number has been cancelled. SIM Swap uses authoritative data from mobile network operators, so Twilio cannot return SIM swap information for a cancelled number.

• The carrier reported the submitted phone number as cancelled.
• The phone number is no longer active with the carrier.
• SIM Swap could not retrieve carrier-backed SIM swap data because the number has been cancelled or deactivated at the carrier level.

• Do not retry the same SIM Swap request for this end user.
• If you still expect this user to have service on this number, ask them to confirm or update their current mobile number before you submit a new Lookup request. This follows from the carrier reporting the number as cancelled.
• If this check is part of an authentication or high-risk transaction flow, use another verification step or channel until you have an active number for the user.
