# How do I use the new Twilio console to…

Explore common workflows in the new Twilio console.

## Use Twilio products

Learn how to [buy a phone number](#buy-a-phone-number), [trial new products,](#trial-a-new-product) or use [Twilio products outside of the Twilio Console](#use-other-twilio-products-like-twilio-segment-or-twilio-sendgrid).

### Buy a phone number

To buy a phone number in the new Twilio console, go to the new Numbers & Senders tab (**Products & services** > **Numbers and senders**) and click **Set up a new phone number**.

After you've set up a phone number, you might need to complete additional compliance steps before you can purchase it or use it.

To learn more about phone numbers, see the [Numbers & Senders documentation](/docs/numbers-and-senders).

### Trial a new product

Twilio offers two ways for you to try new products:

* A 30-day free trial that lets you try multiple products
* Product-specific trials for upgraded accounts

To learn more about Twilio's trial experience, including the products you can try, trial restrictions, and post-upgrade free trial units, see the [Twilio trial account documentation](/docs/usage/trials).

### Use other Twilio products, like Twilio Segment or Twilio SendGrid

To switch to Twilio products that are not in the Twilio Console, like Twilio Segment or Twilio SendGrid:

1. From the home page in the Twilio console, click the **Twilio** dropdown next to the user icon.
2. Select the Twilio product you'd like to open from the list of available products. The console for that product opens in a new tab.

If you've opted to link your Twilio and Segment or Twilio and SendGrid credentials using [Twilio Unified Login](https://help.twilio.com/articles/19652187501211-Getting-Started-with-the-Product-Switcher?_gl=1*1g8aekz*_gcl_au*MTM0MzEzNjI4OS4xNzcwNjYyMTQ2*_ga*MjEzMjgzMTI2NC4xNzUzMTk0MjMw*_ga_RRP8K4M4F3*czE3NzYxMDE3MjEkbzEzNyRnMSR0MTc3NjEwMTc0MCRqNDEkbDAkaDA.), you'll automatically be signed in to Segment or SendGrid.

If you have separate credentials for Twilio and Segment or Twilio and SendGrid, Twilio redirects you to the sign in page for your service.

## Troubleshoot Twilio products

Learn how you can [troubleshoot delivery issues](#troubleshoot-delivery-issues), [file a support ticket or access the documentation](#file-a-support-ticket-or-search-the-documentation), and [understand product usage](#understand-current-product-usage) in the new Twilio console.

### Troubleshoot delivery issues

#### Twilio Debugger

To view information about recent errors, go to the Twilio Debugger (**Develop > Troubleshoot > Debugger**) in the console. By default, the Twilio Debugger shows errors that occurred within the last 24 hours.

The debugger table contains the following information about each error:

* Timestamp (UTC)
* Level (Info/Warning/Error)
* Error code
* Source
* Event type
* Description
* Log properties

To learn more about the Twilio Debugger, see [Debug your Twilio application](/docs/usage/troubleshooting/debugging-your-application).

#### Twilio Alarms

To get a notification when an error occurs, use Twilio Alarms.

You can choose to recieve notifications by email or by webhook, and can set an *alarm threshold*, or a combination of the number of instances of an error across a set period of time.

View alarms in the console by navigating to the Alarms tab. (**Develop > Troubleshoot > Alarms**)

To learn more about Twilio Alarms, see [Alarms](/docs/usage/troubleshooting/alarms).

#### Twilio Workbench

Use the Twilio Workbench, accessible from anywhere in the Twilio Console, to access the Debugger and Alarms.

You can use Workbench to find errors, add real-time logs to your own monitoring systems, and fix integration problems.

To learn more about Twilio Workbench, see [Twilio Workbench](/docs/usage/workbench).

### File a support ticket or search the documentation

You can access the documentation and the Twilio Help Center in a new tab from the [Twilio console's homepage](https://console.twilio.com/account/__account__) or use [Twilio's AI Assistant](?tab=t.ubq4amgt61la) to access documentation and support tickets from within the console.

To learn more about Twilio Assistant, see [Twilio Console Assistant](/docs/usage/twilio-console-assistant).

### Understand current product usage

To view your current product usage:

1. From your Twilio Console, open **Billing & Usage**.
2. Select **Account usage**.
3. On the Usage Summary page, go to the product that you'd like usage data for and review the data in the *Logs* and *Spend* columns. If you want additional information about your usage for a specific product, click the arrow icon in that product's row.

The new Twilio console experience introduces an organizational model that centralizes the management of accounts, subaccounts, and billing groups.

### Transfer ownership of your Twilio account

The Account management page displays the following information about each of your accounts:

Twilio recommends that ISV customers use subaccounts to provision their customers.

To create a subaccount:

1. From your Twilio Console, go to **Settings** > **Account settings** > **Subaccount management**.
2. On the [Subaccounts page](https://console.twilio.com/account/__account__/settings/subaccounts), click **Create new subaccount**.
3. Enter a name for your subaccount, then click **Create subaccount**.
4. On the [Subaccounts page](https://console.twilio.com/account/__account__/settings/subaccounts), verify the subaccount you created appears in the table.

### Update your personal account details

On the [personal settings page](https://1console.twilio.com/user/settings/personal-details), you can update personal user details, reset your account password, edit the two-factor authentication method you use, and generate a new account recovery code.

#### Update personal details

To update your personal user details:

1. From the Twilio Console account header, select the user icon.
2. Click **Personal settings**.
3. On the Personal details page, click **Edit**.
