What is Voice Integrity?

Problem: Call blocking and spam labeling

problem-call-blocking-and-spam-labeling page anchor

In response to a surge in unsolicited calls, analytics engines have deployed aggressive algorithms to assess incoming calls. While necessary, this filtering can result in legitimate business calls being blocked or labeled as spam, significantly reducing customer engagement. When time-sensitive notifications or critical alerts are blocked or ignored, the business impact can be severe.

Solution: Voice Integrity

Voice Integrity, part of Twilio's Voice Trust product suite, lets businesses register their details and outbound phone numbers directly with major US analytics vendors. This proactive registration helps analytics engines recognize legitimate business traffic, so calls are less likely to get flagged as spam or blocked. Voice Integrity isn't a silver bullet: it won't make your numbers fully immune to spam labels, but it's a crucial first line of defense.

Get started with Voice Integrity

You can register your Twilio phone numbers by using the Twilio Console or the Trust Hub API. Registered numbers are recognized by the analytics engines supporting the following carriers:

  • T-Mobile
  • Verizon
  • AT&T

For step-by-step instructions on completing your registration, see Voice Integrity onboarding.

To obtain an approved Voice Integrity bundle, you must do the following:

  • Have an Approved Primary or Secondary Business Profile. Your Profile must include:
    • A registration authority, either an Employer Identification Number (EIN) or a Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number
    • A valid US business address with the correct ISO country code
    • An authorized representative with a valid US phone number
    • A functioning secure website URL (https://)
  • Assign one or more phone numbers assigned to your Business Profile. Only these assigned phone numbers can be registered for Voice Integrity.

Additional steps to increase call answer rates
