Twilio is excited to announce the launch of Japan 0ABJ local numbers. To facilitate this, Twilio has developed Port In API designed to transfer existing Japan 0ABJ Local Numbers (such as Tokyo 03, and Osaka 06 numbers) from your current provider to Twilio. This API will enable the creation and management of both individual and bulk ported orders.

Portable Numbers

Toll-Free numbers (+81800, +81120)

Restrictions

  • Most of International Phone Numbers have Voice capability only, no SMS.
  • Porting supported from following providers    
    • NTT Communications 
    • NTT East / NTT West
    • KDDI
    • Rakuten Communications
  • Original physical LOA will need to be posted to Twilio's carrier provider, once port has been approved.

3-4  weeks after documentation/information submission, depending on the complexity of the port and time required by the current service provider.
