New User Settings Page in Twilio Console
We have launched a new and improved experience for managing user settings in Twilio Console. Twilio console users can view and edit their Personal Information, Security Settings and Preferences from the new User Settings Page.
What’s New?
- The user settings are now divided into different sections for easier access
- Personal Information - contains Name, Email address and User SID
- Security - contains Two Factor Authentication (2FA) settings
- Preferences - contains Timezone and Status email settings
- There is an overview tab to show the most important settings about your Twilio user
- An updated UI to change your email address and reset 2FA phone number
- A revamped Two Factor Authentication (2FA) settings section that makes it easy to view and manage all your saved 2FA methods
- For users who have both Phone number based 2FA and Authenticator app based 2FA methods saved, the Authenticator app based 2FA will become the default 2FA method
- For users who have only the phone number based 2FA method saved, there is no change
- We have also made changes to 2FA frequency selection
- The ability to change 2FA frequency settings is no longer available in the user settings page
- Instead users will now have the ability to remember the browser during 2FA authentication step in the login flow
- Users will also be able to forget all remembered browsers from the user settings page
No action is required from customers for this launch. We have begun rolling out this page and all users will get access to this page within next few days.
