An MTU, or monthly tracked user, is any unique user Twilio Segment collects data on in a billing month (identified or anonymous). Estimate yours by tallying the monthly unique visitors and users across the sites and apps you'll connect. Overshooting is common, so start conservative and scale up.

Start with your data volume and complexity:

• Free: Testing or small projects for 1,000 visitors, 2 sources, one warehouse destination.

• Team: Up 10,000 visitors, unlimited sources, public API access.

• Business: Complex needs, custom visitor volume, data governance, and HIPAA-eligibility.

The free plan works if you're pulling from a couple of sources and syncing to one warehouse once a day. Move up to Team once you pass 1,000 visitors, need unlimited sources, want twice-daily syncs, or need public API access to build on top of your data.
