Subscriptions with SQL Traits Public Beta
With Subscriptions with SQL Traits, marketers will have the ability to quickly and easily import subscription data into Engage with SQL.
For example, some companies may enforce employee policies restricting the storage of PII on local computers, which makes subscription-related updates via CSV uploads redundant, and limits options for marketers who may not have developer resources readily available.
Marketers don’t always have the skill set to utilize an API but are often familiar with SQL, making our SQL Traits feature a much easier approach to syncing subscription data between their data warehouse and Twilio Engage.
Subscriptions with SQL Traits is available to all users on Engage Premier. For more information, view the Subscriptions with SQL Traits documentation.
Webhooks (Actions) Destination General Availability
The Webhooks (Actions) destination is now in General Availability.
With this destination, customers can submit real-time user data to any webhook URL.
For more information, see Segment's Webhooks (Actions) documentation.
Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Actions) Destination General Availability
The Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Actions) destination is now in General Availability.
With this destination, customers can create contacts, store contact and event data in data extensions, and send API events to Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Benefits include batch support, flexible primary keys, and an API upgrade.
For more information, see Segment's Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Actions) documentation.
Google Analytics 4 Mobile Server-Side Functionality General Availability
New functionality to send Firebase app events to the Google Analytics 4 Measurement Protocol API is now available in Segment's Google Analytics 4 destination.
This allows customers to send mobile events to GA4 server-side. Google recommends a parallel implementation with the Firebase SDKs. You can use this new functionality to supplement any mobile data sent client-side.
Identity Resolution Improvement General Availability
Segment has enhanced the application of profile merge and mapping limits in the Identity Resolution algorithm.
Previously when a profile was at these limits, Segment didn’t resolve any subsequent events to profiles. With this change, Segment uses identifier priorities (as configured in your Identity Resolution settings) to resolve events to the profile.
Segment ignores lower priority identifiers that would add merges or mappings to the profile and resolves the event based on the higher priority identifiers. This ensures profiles update with fresh data and eliminates event loss.

Delivery Overview for Storage Destinations Public Beta
End-to-end observability is coming to Warehouse Destinations.
For the first time, Delivery Overview gives you a comprehensive breakdown of how streaming source events convert to warehouse rows.
For more information, see the Delivery Overview documentation.
Unlimited Journeys New Packaging General Availability
The Journeys feature has been updated to remove caps on the total number of journeys in a workspace and the number of steps in a journey.
The step counter has been removed from the Journey Builder canvas.
Additionally, the calculation of steps to Compute Credits is updated so that every two steps equal one Compute Credit.
Journey Analytics General Availability
Journey Analytics is available to all users on Engage Foundations or Engage Premier plans. This feature lets customers see success metrics for published journeys including total entries, in progress, completions, and exits.
In addition, new step-level metrics show total conversions through a journey over time, so you can easily identify where your users might be getting stuck in a journey.
For more information, see Segment's Journeys Analytics docs.
SQL Traits End of Sale
SQL Traits has entered End of Sale as of March 31, 2024.
This means that Segment will no longer offer new customers the ability to create SQL Traits. Existing customers will continue to have access to SQL Traits.
Segment recommends using Reverse ETL to sync your data into Segment.
